Senate President Petersen Joins President Trump at White House for Executive Order Signing to Ban Men from Women's Sports

PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen is joining President Donald Trump at the White House today for the signing of an executive order to ban men and boys from competing on women and girls' sports teams.

Over the last several years, women and girls have been fighting an uphill battle as the radical left has compromised the safety and integrity of female sports by pushing for societal acceptance of boys and men in their athletic competitions. Without a doubt, science proves boys have physiological advantages over girls that make them bigger, stronger, and faster. For these very reasons, Senate Republicans championed the Save Women's Sports Act in 2022 to ensure women and girls have a fair playing field.

When Arizona's Attorney General sat on the sidelines and refused to defend this Arizona law in court, Republicans stepped in to help. President Petersen personally sat through hours of deposition, and the case has made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court where it is currently awaiting consideration.

Today's executive order signing ceremony on this National Girls and Women in Sports Day represents a culmination of Republican efforts at both the state and federal levels to save women's sports.

"The war against women and girls is now taking a dramatic turn for the better, and sanity is being reinstated. This is exactly the common sense that Arizona and America voted for," said President Petersen. "Thanks to President Trump, American girls can once again pursue their dreams. No longer will athletic titles be stolen from them by males. An overwhelming 70% of Americans agree on this issue, which is a key reason why approval ratings of Democrat elected officials are at an all time low. I'm proud to join President Trump today in Washington D.C. for this historic moment. He is going to make girls' sports great again, and I know that he will never stop fighting for us."
