Senate President Petersen to Meet with Trump Administration
Officials in Washington D.C. Next Week
PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Senate President Warren Petersen is gearing up for several meetings with members of President Donald J. Trump's cabinet next week in Washington D.C. to discuss key issues important to Arizona that are needing prompt attention from the federal government.
As part of the visit, President Petersen will be meeting with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin to discuss Arizona's gas prices, the state's water security, and air quality concerns. Also on the agenda is a meeting with U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to discuss litigation the Arizona Legislature is engaged in on behalf of the citizens of Arizona, as well as the illegal immigration crisis local law enforcement and Arizona communities are battling.
"President Trump is leading Arizona and the country into a golden era of safety and prosperity. I'm looking forward to seeing the President and meeting with some of his cabinet to discuss substantive issues and solutions for the state of Arizona," said President Petersen. "His dedication to delivering a commonsense agenda means that we can finally eliminate some of the onerous regulations and policies that have strangled our progress and undermined public safety."
