Senator Finchem to Host Mayors Forum to Discuss Vacation Rentals
PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Senator Mark Finchem is hosting a forum in Yavapai County this month to discuss problems posed by vacation rentals in Arizona and is calling on all concerned citizens to attend.
The Mayors Forum for the People is scheduled for Thursday, February 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Davis Learning center located at Embry-Riddle University in Prescott.
"This forum will offer a unique opportunity to hear about the problems associated with the explosion of vacation rentals that are replacing single-family homes at an alarming pace," said Senator Finchem. "The adverse economic impact on communities across Arizona is sobering. Mayors from Page to Oro Valley and from Sedona to Prescott are facing mounting pressure from constituents to do something about what is happening in their neighborhoods."
Approximately 10 mayors from across Arizona are expected to attend this event. A moderated Q&A will be a part of the program. Public participation is encouraged. Reservations for seating can be made at this link.
